One of the nicest spots on the Costa del Sol
Estepona has a really lovely old town - the flower-covered streets around Calle Real are gorgeous. It feels way more relaxed than Marbella and the seafood along the paseo is fresh and affordable. Great place to just slow down.
Beaches here are something else
Playa de la Rada is long, clean and never feels too packed. The water was warm and clear, and there are plenty of chiringuitos right on the sand. Pescaíto frito is a must - simple fried fish but absolutely delicious. Really solid beach holiday overall.
Perfect summer getaway with the family
Kids loved the beach and we found the old town easy to walk around in the evenings. The flower murals everywhere make it feel really unique. Food was great and portions were huge. Much quieter and friendlier than the bigger resorts nearby.
Great little coastal town
Came here mainly to relax and it delivered completely. The marina area is clean and pretty, with lots of good restaurant options. Tried the espetos - grilled sardines on a stick - right by the beach and they were incredible. Locals are welcoming and prices are fair.
Lovely spring break in the south of Spain
The weather in April was just perfect - warm but not too hot. The old town is full of flowers and colour and it's super easy to walk everywhere. Had some amazing tapas near Plaza de las Flores. A really easygoing town with a lot to offer.
Quiet winter sun done right
Even in December Estepona is mild and enjoyable. The old town was quiet but everything was open and the locals were genuinely friendly. Walked the promenade most mornings and had coffee watching the sea. Simple but really satisfying trip.
